General data

The De Havilland Watches DH-01, DH-02 and DH-100 were developed for pilots by pilots. They record times of take-offs, landings and the duration of flights. They also allow user to registerblock to block and total time. Both these functions can operate in either “UTC” or “local time”. All functions include a second time zone, an alarm and a 1/100-second chronometer as standard. All the chronometer functions are based on an exceptionally high-precision temperature-compensated quartz oscillator (with a maximum error rate of approx. 0.1 seconds a day at between -25º C and +65º C).

Model DH-02 is identical to DH-01 but has in addition an altimeter optimized for aviation.

The DH-02 model is equipped with an ultra-sensitive latest-generation pressure sensor enabling to estimate the altitude to an accuracy of one foot. De Havilland Watches are available with hand-stitched leather, steel or titanium straps. Dials are black or white…


Innovations

Rotating bezel

A key innovation is the use of the rotating bezel for altitude and pressure settings (as on the dashboard) and for time setting. These control systems use the transmission of commands by magnetic field. These new technologies are patented and are the properties of the designers of De Havilland watches.

Flight book

Models DH-01 and DH-02 were developed for pilots by pilots. They record times of take-offs, landings and duration of flights. They also allow the user to register block to block and total time.

Altimeter

The DH-02 model is equipped with an ultra-sensitive latest-generation pressure sensor enabling to estimate the altitude to an accuracy of one foot. The watch enables the selection of altimetric data that are useful for aeronautical purposes, ie: altitude (m or ft), QFE height (hPa or in Hg), Flight Level (FL), QFE and QNH (hPa or in Hg). The weather trends can also be displayed.

Buttons without springs

A new concept of control functions has been developed for the De Havilland watches. The push buttons, with a high trigger for increased sensitivity with gloves, control internal organs through the watch case, without hole through the case.

Buckle with micrometric adjustment

The buckle with micrometric adjustment is the latest patented innovation of this watch. Like push buttons, the wear parts of the buckle, like springs, have been replaced by magnets to ensure the user an excellent reliability over time.
