BL-1000 Mobile weather station

The summary screen shows all the important data at a glance. This makes it easy to check measured values simply by looking at the display.

In addition to the measurements, the summary screen also shows:

BL1000 battery charge level
If an alarm has been triggered
Flashing red circle to indicate that recording is in progress (default).

By pressing one of the quadrants on the screen, you can display the measurement data history of the individual sensors (wind speed, temperature, air humidity and air pressure).

Average, minimum and maximum values are recorded with dotted lines. The period for which measured data remains visible as a line graph can be set from 10 seconds to 6 hours. Line graphs can be scaled to take a closer look at specific measurement points.

The Skywatch® Guard Android™ APP is equipped with two wind speed alarms: warning and danger.

In addition, it is possible to define a normal wind speed which cancels alarms if the wind speed falls below a defined level (if the normal wind speed is not defined, any alarm created will continue until it is manually cancelled).

The two wind speeds at which the alarm is to be triggered can be freely defined in the settings in metres per second.

The logging function can be easily activated and deactivated in the top right-hand corner by activating the red logging button. The measurement interval is set to 1 second. As long as the logging function is enabled, the measured data is averaged every 10 seconds and then stored in a local log file on the mobile device. To track movement, the application accesses the GPS data available in almost all smart devices.

If Internet access is temporarily unavailable, measurements are stored locally until they can be uploaded to the server.

Skywatch® BL1000 offers even more: create a free password-protected account at Weathercloud. If the application has an Internet connection, your current measurement data will be uploaded to the server and can be viewed on the map, viewed and downloaded as a CSV file (data separated by commas).

This allows control centres to monitor several spatially separate measurement stations.

The Skywatch® BL1000 is supplied with a removable stainless steel spindle with ¼ " mounting, removable spring-loaded base and battery charging cable.

Two different profiles are provided for the adjustable ball-secured base, enabling it to be securely mounted on flat and slightly curved surfaces (such as the vehicle roof) using 3M VHB weather-resistant adhesive pads.

Thanks to the proven click-lock system, the ball joint assembly can be simply clipped into the GoPro-compatible base plate.

To mount the Skywatch® BL1000 on a tripod, simply unscrew the head support pin and screw it onto the tripod thread.

With the UNLOCK switch position, the Skywatch® BL1000 can be easily detached from the spindle and the ball-and-socket joint allows the spindle to be folded flat.

Designed for professional use, all components are built to last and to be used frequently. The Skywatch® BL1000 is manufactured in Switzerland by JDC and only the highest precision components are used and carefully tested for performance. The Skywatch® BL1000 weather station and software are designed to combine simple, intuitive operation with ultimate precision.

The sensitive sapphire-bearing wind turbine is safely protected by a robust cage housing.

The black knurled ring at the base of the Skywatch® BL1000 weather station selects the operating mode: three positions ON, OFF and UNLOCK (detach the sensor from the spindle). It has been designed for unambiguous use, even when wearing gloves and under the most difficult conditions.
